First time doing “Hang Split Snatches” and this is an example of communication, eyes on and feedback between both my strength coach Christian and I.  Do you notice a difference between the 2 videos? If so, what did you notice?

A few snippets from the RBC training grounds competition this weekend, matching the 40m sprint record since 2017 of a great friend of mine Jerome Black with a time of 3.72 seconds. The last time I competed in this competition was 2019 and my beep test was around 13 and I’m very proud to have finished at 14.2 this time around!! I made some new friends, saw lots of familiar faces who were volunteering and assisting with the efficiency and smoothness of the event and to them I’m extremely grateful! The cheering, the love from each competitor, parents, staff and all is why I love sport! It brings people together and I thank @kami being the loudest fan and biggest supporter filming, giving me her own water throughout the competition and cheering so emphatically that she gathered everyone in the gym to cheer me on during the final moments of the gruelling beep test🫶🏾

DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!! Even after a performance I was disappointed in, These children came rushing towards me asking for MY autograph😭😭❤️ This is what it’s all about! They changed my whole mood and reminded me of the importance of the true meaning of sport to me, which is to give it your all, and when faced with adversity, you get back up! Your actions, win or not, has an effect on the people around you! I’m very grateful for this reminder and moment.

Moments like these are ones where you can use it as fuel or allow the flames to destroy you and today I choose to be a bit dissatisfied but use this to fuel the next week going into nationals! 

Ran a 1.53.48 which definitely feels like a step backwards but I remember that I raced and paced only 2 days ago, with one day of recovery between. Although this is true, I still don’t see it as an excuse but merely practice for the rounds I will be doing for Nationals in a week! June 23rd-26th😮‍💨👀 stay tuned for that one as we go back to the drawing board!
